Skye and I spent several weeks traveling Europe this year, for which we are extremely grateful.

This Summer we’ve have had the pleasure of traveling to the following beautiful cities:

Barcelona, Bordeaux, Cannes, Ibiza, Madrid, and Paris

While in these cities, we’ve picked up quite a few tips for anyone traveling to Europe from the United States. These tips seemed like common knowledge and general information till we came across a large group of travelers from New York who urged us to share and we are thankful that the Rasamny Family strongly encouraged us to share. So here it is:

Air BnB If you make any bookings through Air BnB, it is wise to make sure you have the application and check it frequently as this is the channel of communication hosts use to communicate with their guests.

Airline Applications You can always go old-school which is actually how I prefer to travel, but it’s a good way to save ink and paper.

Glocalme This is the application for our Global Hotspot. This hotspot allows you to purchase internet directly from service providers.

Rebtel This application is similar to WhatsApp, however, it allows you to call landlines and other contacts you might have that do not have the application. WhatsApp does not allow you to call your credit card company, hotels, and any other business that does not have WhatsApp. Rebtel gives you the flexibility to contact any business and anyone, regardless of their affiliation to the application.

Train Applications These applications allow you to stay up-to-date on delays, platform changes, etc.

Translation Applications There are many, but just to name a few, Google Translate  iTranslate, Speak & Translate. These translation application applications are very helpful.

Trip Advisor/Yelp/etc. These applications that are commonly used in the United States, are also good applications to use in Europe to see addresses, hours of operation, pictures, & reviews.

Uber/Uber Eats Uber has officially taken over Europe, and has become more convenient and efficient than taking a taxi. On the same token, Uber Eats has also become a very reliable way to get food delivered, especially when you are not familiar with a city.

WhatsApp Most While most individuals in the United States are familiar, it’s a great way to communicate with friends and vendors using WIFI.

Weather/The Weather Channel A great way to stay in touch with the weather, both applications offer options to view the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
